What specific barrel do you use to switch a Glock 22 and 23 over to 9mm? Do you just use a Glock 17 and 19, respectively? As well, do you need to use different mags or change other parts?

Not 100% sure on this, but I think 357 SIG is the only caliber you can change to in a Glock 22 where all you need is to replace barrel.

9mm in a Glock 22 would require 9mm mags,I think. Not sure if the ejector has to be changed.

"Google" it and you'll get lots of info.

I have a Glock 22 and i droped in a 9mm lonewolf barrel got a couple of 9mm megs and it was ready to go. I got the barrel from the good people of questar

Check out Lone Wolf barrels. You can purchase conversion barrels for your G22 in 9mm and 357SIG. You stock mags will work fine from what I've read.

I think the conversion barrels are slightly different from stock barrels, so the G17 barrel will not work, and is why you need a conversion barrel.

I have a G20 with a .40 S/W AND A .357SIG conversion barrel, and will buy a 9X25Dillon barrel as soon as I find and job and get back to the hobby.

Hope this helps.

You will need to get 9mm mags.... the .40 mags will work if you alter the angle of the feed lips but that would be "manufacturing a prohibited device" (which if you get caught means loosing all your firearms and possible jail time) as you could then put more than 10 rnds in your mag.... I do believe 13 is the magic #.....

For the $30 to $35 bucks a mag is going to cost ya.... not worth the hassel....

I do have a stupid question for ya......

??? IF ???
-A barrel is worth $200...
-A slide & springs is worth $150....
-2 mags is worth $80....

toataling about $430...... a used G17 is like $550( I actually saw one on a canadian dealers web site for $449)

Whay not just a buy another glock?????

I bought a used Police Surplus G 17 to go with my used Police Surplus G22. After fooling around a bit, I sold the G 17, and went for the LW .40/9mm conversion barrel ...
mostly because I wanted to standardise to just one trigger pull and lower.

I use 9 MM mags when I shoot 9 MM.

I also installed a NEW style [ loaded indicator bump ] 9 MM extractor, and for good measure, put in a 9 MM ejector as well. These seem to work just fine for BOTH .40 and for 9 MM.

The Glock functions fine with both .40 S&W, and with 9 MM, but the .22 AA conversion kit is still a bit ammo sensitive [ hopefully just caused by still breaking in ].

ive found (personally) that ALL .22's are ammo sensitive

henceforth the reason i hate .22 :p :p

i have NEVER, i repeat NEVER gone through an entire 10 round clip in my 597 remmy without at LEAST 1 jam

I hope I am not beating a dead horse. I have read articles stating you can fire 9mm and 357 Sig rounds in a 40 S&W Glock pistol by merely changing the barrel. This was not the case for me as my Glock 23 and Glock 27 both required 9mm magazines to reliably fire 9mms. I use 357 Sig mags only to make certain that I do not mix ammo. Of the three rounds, I truly love the 357 Sig as it is a hoot to shoot! You have it all with the 357 Sig (accuracy, flame, roar, and recoil). Regards, Richard :)

That G17 looks like a 1st gen? I got my low round count 3rd gen G22 with 4 mags for 630 shipped, so for 150ish more, i get the latest glock, no holster wear, 4 extra mags (150.00 value??)

deals are out there, just gotta look :)

You need to get yourself different 22's. My Kimber with the 22 conversion will eat hundreds of CCI mini-mags without a hiccup. Same goes for my Ruger 10-22.
