Converting single shot Savage action to repeater

Good day folks,

I have a savage Precision Target Action SA single shot and I was wondering if any gunsmiths here could give me an idea of how difficult/ expensive it would be to cut a mag port in the bottom of the action to convert to an AICS mag fed repeater.

I would like to build a 223 repeater and as far as Savage actions go, this one is very nice.

Would this be an unrealistic procedure or should I just sell it and grab a regular Savage short action?

Ditto. The money it will cost is more like to just buy you what you want outright, then you will have two guns, for the same or lower costs.
