Friend of mine asked me to troubleshoot his rifle. There is design flaw discovered and in order to fix it I have to remove barrel.
How is the barrel attached to action. Press fit or threaded?
Never worked on these before, looks very cheap. It is bolt action repeater.

There is a design flaw? Who diagnosed the design flaw and what is it?

They are cheap and probably a million made... probably all with the same "design flaw". Which model, bolt action single shot or bolt action repeater?

You are going to fix it and you can't figure out how the barrel is attached..? Sounds like a good start... It is not threaded.

It is either design or manufacturing flaw. Extractor channel doesn't have proper geometry. Extractor can't be adjusted accordingly so it is the groove i have to modify. It is easy fix but to do it properly I would like to separate barrel from that pipe called action.

So is the rifle not ejecting the spent cases? Is it bolt sticking? Theres just not enough information.
As Guntech said with a lot of firearms made the flaw should be in most of them.
Remember if its not broken don't fix it.

It is broken and need to be fixed, it doesn't extract therefore there is no ejection as well. Ejection will be tested after extraction is fixed first.
It feeds and it shoots. Doesn't extract. Looks like brand new Lakefield rifle. Friend told me she never worked properly since bought. It is bolt action repeater.

i have a cooey 64, it has never worked great... i took it to a gunsmith to have him add the 64b magwell, so i could use common savage mags, and it still don't work well. the magazine still requires fitting to make it feed properly, having said that, mine still ejects just fine.

there is a screw that comes off the bottom of the stock that holds a [ shaped piece of metal, that holds the barrel in to the reciever. once you remove it, the barrell will slide out with a little resistance. this part is located on the forward section of the reciever directly ahead of the magazine well.

im not sure if this is helping you, as im not sure of the exact model of your gun. i do, however know there were certain models that were notorious for their ejection spring failing.
