Just a quick question. Just received an old Cooey .22 semi auto model 64.
Only problem there is not a clip that I can find. I was told that savage was the same but it is nowhere near. Does anyone know if other models are interchangeable cause it seems even harder to find a new one.

It could be an earlier model that takes the plastic magazines, later models take metal magazines & the current savage 64 magazines will work with those.
Any pictures?

I have a Cooey and a Lakefield 64 and they both take the same mags. Savage bought the old Lakefield plant and still make the 64 model. I bought some mags a few months back marked Savage and they fit in the Cooey and the Lakefield.

. You can get new mags from Savage Arms directly. Google and get the phone numbers. If it is an early model 64 without a skeleton key style mag well, it needs a plastic mag ( obsolete) but can be altered by getting the metal mag well and mags from Savage. You can also get mags from Cabela's in Winnipeg .The Savage model 64s mags are for the same gun as the Cooey 64 ( converted) and 64A, Lakefield 64B and Sears 8C (64C). I got 'em all.

Any well stocked gun shop should carry magazines for it or can order them for you. I have a Lakefield model 64b and bought a new mag last year for it. Cost me just under a 20 dollar bill. The Cooey model 64 is the same rifle as is the Savage 64.
