Cooey 39 'SCHNABEL'

Saw a Cooey 39 last week with a 'prominent schnabel' on it. Never seen on before.
Was this done during any specific time period?

N'er seen a Cooey with a natural Schnabel. Post some pics so I can be jealous. I have a cooey weakness, and a crush on Schnabels.

Possibly a different stock fitted, or an original whittled?

It sure looked proper on the rifle. I may get a chance to own it and if I do I will post lots of pictures
I am thinking it had the Cobourg address on it

Attic find, given to me a while back.
Some nice figure in the wood, but it was pretty rough, and I do like Schnabel's and Prince of Wales pistol grips, so this is the result.

I have a 75 with a nearly identical stock, beautiful gun

Whoever did it did a very nice job of customizing it and adding the grip cap and butt pad as well.

When I was 16 I schnabled my 39 Cooey .....I thought it was beautiful...years later, I replaced it with a beautiful factory Original. Kinda wish I had the OL one back.BTW I'm not a stock maker...
