Hey folks,

I've got an old Cooey 60 that needs some attention. A while back I replaced the trigger and spring because the old one broke off one day. It had the scope taken off long ago (as well as mounts etc) due to it not retaining zero and all that is LONG gone. So now I need the base/rings/scope whole package. Looking to spend as little as possible. If you guys would let me know what exactly I need (and even link me to it if you're feeling generous) to get a cheap 3-9 or fixed 4 on this. I'm just going to be using it for gophers, pidgeons etc.

My second point; after shooting it the last time in rainy conditions I sort of made the mistake of putting it right in the safe and forgetting about it. In short, all the metal is orange. I'm not concerned about functionality because I know these things are bullet-proof, but what should I do to make her pretty again. Just some steel wool on the rusted parts and then a light oil?

Please keep in mind I'm a student and don't have a lot of money or time. Thanks for all the help!

Cheers,

Justin
