Can anyone offer some assistance on how to disassemble/assemble a Cooey Model 600 22 rifle bolt, is there a special tool required that makes this task doable? Thanks for any help, cheers, Ken Watts.

Remove the stock. The nut that the stock screw is in is threaded also. Remove that nut and the tube will drop allowing you to slide the bolt back part way. Pull the trigger and the bolt removes completely.

The bolt is a semi permanent assembly. If you really need to disassemble it, you will need to drive out the pin that goes through the cocking piece. The large end is the stud which guides the cocking piece in the receiver slot. You might not be able to see the small end. Once this pin is out, the cocking piece can be pulled off its shaft. Then you will need to make a tool to unscrew the collar that retains the striker rod and mainspring. The extractor can be pried off. There is a pin which secures the firing pin.
I wouldn't even try to disassemble one of these unless there was a very good reason to do so.

Thanks for the info folks, while I was messing with it I accidentally separated the two main pieces of the bolt body, it appears theat I have stripped the threads on the retaining collet which apparently was only threaded ever so slightly. The good news is the female threads appear undammaged so I should be able to clean up the collet and re thread it without to much trouble but I am still not sure about the bolt/reciever guide pin removal as it is not visible from the opposite side. Maybe Winchester is right a new bolt would probably be quicker and less frustrating but it is a spare bolt anyway, just wanted to figure it out and finish what i had started...for once. Cheers, Ken Watts.

I had mine come apart on me when I was messing around with it, the small retaining screw between the two halves of the bolt unscrewed on its own. I would guess undoing that screw is the way to disassemble.
