I got my grandfather's COOEY 600 today with the Winchester stamp. I have read the sticky on refinishing and I think this may be a good candidate for a project. As I started to take the gun apart to give it its first cleaning I came across a part I hadn't seen in YouTube videos. The tube magazine looks to be held in by a screw with a slotted head on it which also receives the forend screw holding the stock on. In the videos I watched it was a nut that needed to be loosened. I tried to remove it with a screwdriver but it won't move so I am guessing it's seized. I have a habit of breaking things when this happens. Is this a part others have come across also? I hit it with penetrating oil, any other advice?

Problem solved. Penetrating oil worked overnight and I got the bolt out. For interest's sake here is a pic of the part I was having difficulty with.
