OK bare with me as i am new to Firearms so my Terms arnt correct!

Took my wifes new to her Cooey out this weekend for a little Plinking!

Ran about 20 shots through it and it was Shooting Great and loading very nicly she was very happy as she really likes it!

THEN She says to me hey it wont load properly! so i look at it try a couple of times and finaly get one to load then i cycle it and the loaded round comes out!

So the "Fingers" that hold the .22 round have both Broken off so there is nothing Holding the Round??

What would have caused this?
And i think it now needs a new Bolt?
Were can i get one?

THanks Adanac00

You need a new extractor, you don't need a new bolt. Is there a gunsmith near you? Might have parts. Or contact Western Gunparts in Edmonton.
If you can't find one, I'll send you a used one. Send a PM if you're stuck.

OK so heres to best pics she could take as i am not at home at the moment!

I got some parts from Numrich to put an old Marlin 80 back into shooting form. They have no problem shipping to Canada for parts like this.

WOW thanks everyone for all the help and advice so far this site is Great and there are so many Great people here willing to help!

Ok so its the extractors that have broken off! (learned something new)
can anyone take a guess at what might have caused them to break as we wernt abussing it or Slaming the Bold hard?
Plus i dont want to fix it and have it happen again!

If you feed the Model 60 through the receiver rather than the tube mag that can result.

Feeding through the tube mag and cycling the bolt feeds the round into the extractor.

Feeding directly into the chamber through the receiver and closing the bolt forces the extractors over the rim of the cartridge.

Happy to hear of two new shooters and CGNrs jumping in to help.

This could have been what happend, it didnt properly feed the round she put it in with her Fingers and then closed the bolt breaking the extractor! Befor we realized what had happend probably broke the other off!

I will tell her to make sure we dont do that as i have a model 60 and dont want to break another one!
