Looking to upgrade the sights on my cooey 64. Can't decide if I want a reflex sight or scope or peep sights of some sort. It's used for hunting so I want something small light and fast

What is everyone running for sights on these old work horses?

I've actually put Cooey site's on other rifles because their so easy to adjust and stay where I set'em. If they move it's very easy to see that they have.
File the front site into a pointed "V" for more accurate work.

Keep in mind if you install a receiver peep sight, your front sight will likely need to be taller.

I would probably go with a fixed 4x scope though. One of them bushnell or simmons ones.

I read that on the skinner site. I'm not sure how tall I'd need. Just go the highest and file till its right I guess. I'm leaning more to a scope or reflex type but I want to keep it fairly light

I had a cooey with the factory sights and disliked it. Found it hard to focus, now I got one with peep sights and it's much better. But it's more for target since it pretty much limits prerifial (sp) vision and gives you tunnel vision.

Also the peep sights are not cheap. Your into a price of a 4x scope and rings.
