Nice work! I'm a fan of knurling, too.
I have an old 1947 South Bend cast iron lathe that I will never part with. I'm constantly looking at things around the house, on vehicles, on appliances, that look like they might benefit from a little lathe work. It's truly amazing what can be done with a good metal lathe. Until I started using it, I had never realized that you can, for example, make a perfect cube with one, among other things. I can't afford a mill, so...I got a milling attachment for my lathe. I can do small milling jobs on it. I made a ball-turning tool for it (using the lathe!) as my first big project.
Your model 64 looks spectacular, by the way! One of the nicest I've ever seen.
