Cooey 64 ??//

Here is a pic of what when you look at it ,will think this is a Remington Mod 12A 22 rimfire. BUTon the barrel it is stamped Cooey Mod 64. I have the little Cooey book and it says in there it made the 64 in a semi auto. They did make a pump ,but it does not look anything like is posted.When compared side by side with a 12A they are almost identical except the big take down nut on the left side of the gun.......Any Ideas as to what is up with that ???

Someone replaced the barrel with a Cooey 64 barrel 'cause it fit I'd guess.

Most of the old Remington's were used a lot with corrosive ammo (no longer made) and it is very common to see bores very damaged. Lots of them have a liner installed to fix them... in this case someone replaced the original barrel by machining and fitting a Cooey barrel.... they don't just fit...
