Cooey 64B jamming

So the cleaning and ammo varieties didn't work. I'm thinking that maybe the extractor hook might be over worn. Basically the empty casing ends up jamming sideways in the bolt right at the front of the discharge port. Is it worth changing that hook?

I would inspect the ejector before buying an extractor. Not sure when "changeover" from formed wire to flat plate style occurred. The wire style deform easily, the flat plate break (see prvious caveats about not twisting the barell inside the receiver)

I would also make certain the "timing" of your barrel is exact (the barrel retaining clip wont "right" it) a little off can cause troubles like this too

Will try to find a picture of my wire style ejector.

This one is broken (where it fits in barrel) and only "slightly" deformed...

I altered my barrel to accommodate the "flat style" then cut one out.

I eyeball it...

When the barrel is in the receiver, there are corresponding cuts. This is where the retaining clip fits. The cut in the receiver is bigger than the cut in the barrel. I eyeball the amount of barrel seen through the receiver's cut and make sure it's equal on both sides. It doesn't take much to make it finicky.

Did you ejector look ok? The part that touches the rim nice n' square?

thanks for the plug oaa01.... but if i'm going to buy a new gun it's not going to be one that is going to cause me problems like the one I already have lol

I think I get what you're saying. Basically center the retaining clip on the groove and torque it down. There is a fair amount of play in there for sure.

The retaining clip is "self centering". It will only fit that way. The actual notch in the barrel (seen through the cut in the receiver) should be "leveled" as the clip wont press it flat. The clip itself can be deformed trying to use it that way.
