I picked up a Cooey 64B on EE a couple weeks ago and got out to shoot it this past weekend. The first 30 or 40 rounds cycled flawlessly.
Then the trigger started to fail to reset. The first round fires and extracts, a new round is chambered, however the trigger does not reset. I can replicate the issue manually by cycling the action quickly. If i cycle the action a little slower, it engages properly for the first round from the magazine.
I disassembled the rifle. It looks to me like one of the previous owners filed the sear to improve trigger pull... I'm thinking they overdid it or or it has just worn out since the job was done. The trigger and disconnect springs look solid.
The second thing I noticed is the bolt spring pin is a little worn nears its head. pics also in link.
My two thoughts.
1. sear was filed to much and is not able to catch the hammer.
2. Bolt spring pin is preventing proper cycling of action.
I found a shop out of Chatham called Wortner Gun that has old Cooey parts and plan to pick up a new trigger assembly, and bolt spring pin.
Are there any other parts i should consider replacing?

Thanks All, any advice is appreciated.
