cooey 710 stock question

Will a stock from a winchester m70 be inter-changeable with a stock from a cooey 710? My cooey stock is all cracked to heck and am need of a new one.

I put a Model 70 stock on a Cooey 71 years ago. The M70 stock didn't quite fit as the recoil lug is about 1/8" aft of the one on my Cooey. A bit of wood removal and glass bedding afterwards fixed that though. Everything else fit just fine. As to whether or not it'll work with a 710, I don't know, but it should with a bit of fitting. Measure the distance between the action screws first. If the holes match, you should be ok doing just what I did.

I replaced my stock that was cracked. I bought a replacement stock from Western Gunparts Here in Edmonton. The price was 125.00 and it is a nice walnut stock. It comes unfinished.
