cooey 75 cb's

looking to get a cooey 75 for open sights rifle training but just wanted to know if anybody had tried cb shorts or longs in there's and how they worked accuracy wise,I heard they can be great with the high velocity stuff like stingers and mini mags.anyway was just kinda wondering about others experiences with the cb's

I can't speak for the Cooey but in my .22 & my dad's Winchester 67A, the cb's bring noticeably reduced accuracy over the HVs. Wasn't impressed with them, at least on the accuracy front.

I don't find CB longs to be accurate out of any .22 I own, but it doesn't stop me from using them in my 75. The extra barrel length on those guns makes those rounds more quiet than my air guns!

To me, they're short-range plinking ammunition but I've never tried it off a rest either with my 75. I have put it through another rifle, off a rest @ about 50 yards, and accuracy was very spotty.

I can get 2in groups at 25y with cb longs in most of my 75s.

x2 for the sound reduction. First CB round I ever fired was by mistake, I didn't realize I'd grabbed a box of CBs and thought I had a misfire, when the shell ejected I was sure I had a bullet lodged in the barrel.

So I see the appeal
