Hey everyone. Here's a question for any of you who are into make shift measuring tools for peep sights that are almost useless. (That was somewhat sarcastic) I love shooting my model 82 cooey, but the cooey peep sights I have really don't gauge yardage at all and it's tough to set it back in place when it's hitting great at a hundred yards and I lower for shorter yardages. Nevermind fiddling with the peep wanting to move side to side, I have difficulty finding the trajectory needed with simple lines on the side of the peep sight. I want to find a way to gauge how high my peep sight needs to be to hit 100 yards, 75 yards, 50 etc. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can do this. I don't want to mess around with wood too much but I was thinking small strips of aluminum bent slightly because of the screw that keeps the peep sight in place. Use those pieces, stacked up, to butt the peep sight down to the exact desired height. I know this may be a little overboard but I'm interested to see if anyone has an innovative, quick, cheap AND accurate way of setting that type of peep sight. Thanks for reading everyone! message me if you want a picture of what I'm talking about.
