So i just inherited an old Cooey 840 single shot. Seems to be in good shape for its age (which I am estimating... doubt there is a way to find out the exact year of it?)

Doesnt look like it was shot much... and I know why!! Kicks like a mule! Didnt really surprise me though as it is a very light gun, and the hard plastic butt plate is far from comfortable...
Would probably be fine while wearing a jacket, but seeing as it was 22* C here yesterday, and I was out shooting in a T shirt, it was not much fun. less than half a dozen shots and I was done! (but then put 50 shots through my BPS which was so comfy in comparison!) I dont have much natural padding on me either...
Few questions, any good direst fit recoil pads? I popped the plastic butt plate and there is a cavity in the stock. Was thinking of adding some weight there, but the gun is kind of nice to handle as is... Anyone done this?
