hello, thanks in advance

i am looking to rebuild this old cooey looking for a plastic piece that goes between the fore stock and the action. ( not sure of the terminology, please feel free to correct me) but it was my grand fathers and it has since made its ways in to my hands looking at making it operatable with out he elctircal tape on the barrel. if you have any idea where i can get this part and or any diagrams of all the parts and pieces and how they all go together again that would be awesome. i dont want to let this old piece of history go to waste.

i hope these pictures work out let me know. new to CGN as well thanks in advance.

if any one has any tips or advice feel free to let me know too think about sanding it down and stainning it dark gray or back to original. any idea what this .410 is worth too?

I inherited my fathers 840 410. First tie I took it out of his cabinet and opened it the pivot was broken. I went to Elwood Epps and they had one in stock. It was steel not plastic, and as a bit bigger than the original, it sticks out a bit at the bottom. I was please to just find a replacement at the first place I looked, in steel non the less, so I went with it.

I happily paid $30 for it, but have since been ridiculed here as apparently these guns are sold for $50 all the time. I'm still looking for these cheap 840's, still haven't found one. I'm still happy with my $30 purchase.

thanks for the info, i am sure with a little help of a grinder you could re shape it to the right contour again

There is a member here on the EE that sells the metal ones. I bought one for my 28ga
I cannot remember his handle but someone here will
I would try a WTB listing and you will more than likely be contacted

Also make sure you ask for one for a 410 they are different off the top of my head
20&28 ga are the same, 12 &16 ga are the same and 410 different again.
That is if you want a proper fit without mods
Cheers

They are all the same size not different they have to mate to the reciever contor and the recivers are all the same .the only differance is the inletting in the forend wood for the bbl channel . Coey's were not the intricate
