Cooey 840 problem

Been having some trouble with my cooey single shot 12g model 840. Everytime I shoot it the action opens (break barrel), I've read this could be caused by a loose hinge pin, but I'm not really sure. Mostly, I'm curious if this is fixable, or is it even worth it? And if it is fixable, is it a DIYer or do I need to take it into a gunsmith?

any work a smith does will more than likely cost more than different shotgun
check in the EE always a 12g single in there
