If you take a tight fitting jag, like the kind typical for cleaning muzzleloaders, run the tight patch through until it stops at the choke, measure from the end of the jag to the muzzle and transfers that to the outside of the barrel. If it were mine I would then chick it in the lathe and shave the muzzle down to close to the line, check with the tight jag and if it does not go through with equal pressure, shave a little more and keep going until it just goes through with equal pressure ( if you want it to within a few thou of the choke.
