The Cooey Ace has nothing to do with the model 39. The Ace was an early Cooey product which came out after the Canuck. There were several variations of the Ace with many of them being small boy's rifles. The Ace was Cooey's own brand model, not a store brand. The Eaton's store brand back then was Eatonia.
Yep, that is correct.Followed post War by the Ranger that was made for Eatons by Cooey.
I have an Eatonia which is a small size. Maybe not as small as an ACE. I don't have one to compare.

^^ Early Eatonias were Ace/Canuck based. They are slightly different from a 39 (you cannot swap bolts). In Belton's book there is also mention of Eatonia Senior, and repeater but I've not been lucky enough to see one.
