Cooey Bolt Question

The bolt handle in question is shown beside an 82 bolt.

Handle is shorter and ball is a few thou smaller.

Does it fit a particular bolt or has it just been shortened?

Cooey's span many year's, and I'm sure there were some design change's.

Just by eyeballing it I believe my 39 has the same length stem as the shorter one, the ball is wider than the stem is long.
