Hi:
Have a bolt for the 39/75/750/82 series that is too long - cant close the bolt.
The indentation for the cartridge to sit in on the bolt face is quite deep compared to the other Cooey bolts / put another way, the outside rim is quite tall. Two options, grind a bit off the back of the bolt lever so it will close or grind a bit off the bolt face.
The firing pin is generally flush with the outside rim of the bolt face, hence am thinking that if I grind down the outside rim I should also grind down the firing pin so it remains flush.
So... grind down bold or bold face? grind down pin flush with bolt face rim?
Do like the old Cooeys - first time with a 750 last weekend with open sights (top bit of sight missing), and a 60 with 4x scope - 25M, black circle 1" diameter, rings an inch apart. Am I ready for 1000 yards yet?
Cheers
