Hello everyone,
I recently came into possession of a lovely Cooey carcano but she needs some TLC before heading to the range.
There are also some issues to iron out, two of which are with the double set triggers. I am hoping someone with a complete Cooey carcano can snap a few reference pictures for me so I can fix this one.
The first issue is she is missing the bolt retaining block that sits in the right side of the rear bridge. This block is what stops the bolt when retracted all the way to the back. On close inspection of the trigger assembly, the pin that held the block broke off some time again and it is probably why the block is missing.
The second issue is with the trigger themselves. The rear trigger catches but on closer inspection the forward trigger just barely sits in the hair trigger catch and can be set off with only the slightest touch. I will be taking the double set trigger apart to see if I can fix the issue.
As requested before, I would like some photographs for reference of both sides of the double set trigger as it sits on the magazine body and with the hair trigger pulled all the way back to see how the forward trigger catch sits. If possible, a close up of the retaining block and it's pin so I can see how it sits on the trigger group with the hopes of fashioning a replacement pin.
To anyone that can help, thank you
