I'm working on a little project of restoring a cooey 600. I've completely disassembled the rifle and on inspection the magazine has a wear hole from the holding pin.

Its a pen tip pointing towards the hole.

I'm planning on on parkarizing the rifle due to the pitting. (bore is excellent)

but does anyone have a suggestion for repairing it? Or know anyone in the edmonton area?

I think the problem is more that they drilled the hole too close to the tube. I have a Cooey with the exact same issue. I solved it by grinding the middle of a roll pin, so the pin won't touch the brass tube. Before inserting the pin, I removed any burrs with a a sharp knife. I used a roll pin because it is spring steel and even though the middle is weakened, the ends of the pin will stay put where the pin actually pivots.
