Just picked her up , and it doesnt want to cylcle...at all. fires the first and thats it. If I MANUALLY CYCLE ROUNDS IT DOES EJCT THE UNSPENT CASING. Any Ideas or have any similar problems.. Thanks for your help!
 
I adore my 64's...

Take it down completely, clean it (thoroughly ESP extractor/bolt face), slap the works with brake cleaner (when you're done all is very dry!). Don't oil/lube the action unless it's for storage/rust prevention. Run that thing dry!

Find an ammo that will work (As much as I adore 'em they are fussy eaters). Mine like round nosed ammo, and eat any CCI blasers(stingers n' mini mags) like candy. Federal Champions too. My favorite won't eat Winchester333/555 but others will, so it's worth experimenting.

If it'll feed n' cycle by hand, it should under trigger power too.
 
I'm guessing it's chock full of grease and grime from neglect. As Camster noted, take that thing apart and if you don't have any brake clean, use normal dish soap and hot water. Scrub that thing clean. Spray it with WD-40 and blow out all the parts with compressed air.
 
They come apart by removing the barrel. Caution though and do not twist too hard or you break the ejector. The clip that holds the barrel is held by the same nut stud that holds on the woogs. After the barrel is out, the bolt will slide forward and you remove the manual cocking handle by pulling sideways and the whole bolt will come out. clean the action too inside before reassembling it.the only part that will come off the bolt is the firing pin. but brake cleaner or wd40 can clean inside the bolt with a tiny nozzle that comes with it.
 
Sweet just pulled er apart. Wow is it ever filthy. Going to give it a good clean up then put it back together. Nobrake cleaner on hand.Have some brite bore by remmington, some hops. any good. Is graphite lube or white silicone grease *(spray) any god for lube or protection?
 
run dry to shoot. only lube for a period sitting idle. The lube will just hold the residue from firing. Hot water and dish soap can also clean it . I use a toothbrush also to clean small areas like the firing pin groove.
