Cooey Mod 84 extractor problems?

My recently purchased Cooey 84 from a board member on the EE (Fully functional...his words, not mine) has it's extractor rusted/stuck into the barrel and refuses to eject any rounds.


I have the end of the barrel soaking in can of some G96 spray. I poke and prodded and I just can't get it to release into it's proper positon.

When the barrel has been removed from the receiver you will notice a small pin that passes across/through the locking lug. This pin must be pushed downwards to release the extractor. Keep flushing this area with the spray and when you get the extractor to function, work it several times until it moves freely. The spring is quite strong, so it might take some effort to push the pin far enough to open. If the edges of the pin are rounded off, it might have to be replaced if it's movement in the receiver doesn't cycle the extractor. If the spring is broken that should be evident.

if you can find it get some "nutbuster" spray. soak it...it will eat the rust just keep spraying and working it. Like Boomer said...spring is strong it WILL work.
