cooey model 35 pump 22 video

Neat and goofy all at the same time.
Is it necessary to move that cocking piece after you fired to
work the pump?
Was this gal made factory or done up?
I see the bolt has the turn safety notch and kanobby, but
no way to turn the bolt to activate it.
Neat video and thanks..............................

I own 2, same action/bolt lock up as model 60. Just a camming action to turn bolt similar to M1 Garand, M14 etc type actions

I`m with Looky on this one: Do you need to activate the cocking piece every time? I know with my Winchester Model 61, it is a "one time deal", after that you just pump and shoot as quick as you want.

There does seem to be a release pressed every time the action is cycled. Is the camming performed by this release on the rt side? Instead of a bolt handle, I see a tab. Does that tab get lifted (turning the bolt) when cycling by riding up a ramp?

Still full of gratitude for the vid.

that was my first time shooting that rifle actually. hadnt been shot in awhile you dont need to press nudge everytime just made it cycle little bit easier. the girl is pretty old you gotta go easy on her lol it did warm up after shooting it and became smoother.

I desired this rifle until the moment I saw it's function. (2-handed) Very cool rifle just the same and I'll echo what others have said already~thanks so much for posting!

The more I look at the background, the more red it looks. Feel bad for who ever decides to pick up hulls, it would be more "cost efficient" to bring in a street sweeper.

why wasn't the camera man standing behind the shooter!!!! don't you know what could happen!!!! don't you know that shooting from the hip is dangerous??!!!! com'on man!!!

just kidding of course, someone had to say it. awesome vid and coool gun. like looky was asking, is this post-factory modification or a limited production run? pretty neat.

I have heard accounts of these being modified down the road but i believe people are mistaken into believing that. Mine has to be factory original just because of how much detailed work and milling there is. That Cooey book i sent out a few weeks back had good amount to say on these.

That range is a fun one, known as the "toilet bowl" shame people go out there and bring junk electronics and leave em. I bring a rake with us and collect the hulls weve shot. I get lucky and find sks stripper clips and 410 hulls all the time!!

Really interesting, bet there is a story about why they were made

Don't know the story of why they were made but I know why they were stopped. The forend wood would smack against the stock when pumped and that is why most you will come across have a cracked stock. I would like to know the story as to why Cooey didn't change the design or come out with a totally redesigned pump. Guess he figured Canadians didn't need a pump gun.
