I finally got one. Now I have to fit it to my daughter. She is four years old and growing sporadically. I would like to find a stock with an adgustable length of pull so that we can adjust it as she grows. I am going to try to hack a short stock out of lumber to see if I have the skills or talent, but I have no reasonable expectation that the results will be satisfactory.

Any ideas other than just cut it off and add wood as necessary?

Thanks
J

I fit a savage semi autpo to my boy and made it an adjustable stock, then painted it all camp for him. The original stock was absolutely ugly, beyond repair. i used 2 carriage bolts a few nuts and lock washers, and 2 t nuts. Worked quite well. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow if you are interested, or I can email them too.

I was just looking at my model 39 for which I have two stocks. I think I am going to slice off 1.5" pieces of the end of the stock with my bandsaw, drill and tap holes into the stock and just keep adding pieces as my boy gets older....
