Blowing parts with compressed air
.
Personally, I really don't want to experiment to see if compressed air will get into the blood stream. Maybe we can get the mother-in-law to volunteer for a test case, but that would be wishful thinking.
The Workplace Health and Safety acts and regulations say " DONT " so I think I will pay attention to that.
It's also a matter of nozzles. Some of the older ones have very small openings, and will really build up air pressure. Newer ones have a couple of holes in the sides, and if you put one on your skin, the air is deflected sideways through these safety holes.
As an aside, I was in a Perkins restaurant in Winnipeg this morning. I went to the washroom, washed my hands, and they had an air dryer there. Man, I'll tell you, the company that made this one must have manufactured afterburners for jet engines or something. If you had enough cord and sat on it, you probably could have flown it.
Anyways, I mentioned it as a caution.
