Hi my dad recently gave me his old cooey model 600 I havn't been to range lately and was wondering how good the accuracy was on them. Also any other info or tip are greatly appreciated.

You won't get MOA out of them but they are plenty accurate enough for hunting/plinking. You will also have to try different ammo as a gun can be more accurate with a certain brand. The model 600 replaced the model 60 after Winchester took over. They are nice guns, especially if you have the rabbit stocked model.
 
I've never heard anyone say anything bad about the old Cooeys. They are generally tack drivers and reliable as anything ever made. I have a model 39 that is dead on every time. I sold a model 600 (rabbit) without ever firing it except to test. Dead on as well.

They are a piece of Canadiana and deserve their place in history.
 
I got a 750 and am buying a 600 as we speak, thats how much I like them. like was said before, not tack drivers, but have been accurate enough for the last 100 years and the way they built them I think my grand kids will have have fun with them long after im gone. Tougher than cougar sh*t
