Hey guys. Thought I'd chime in. I have the same issues randomly with FTF and FTE.
Is this a normal chamber extractor area or a result of dry fire? It looks chipped.

Is it normal for mags to be wobble in these suckers? I bought a new mag and even that's wobbly.
With the bolt back you can push the mag up and lock the bolt back accidentally.

I have been looking for over a year for the bent wire ejector spring thingy. I have bought a couple parts but always ended up with the wrong part becasue Iether I am not describing the part right (proper name) or the seller is unterstanding a different part. This post is helping alot. glad I'm not the only one looking for this peice.

A & B were plastic vs metal mags and the bits to do it. Not sure what else.
I have a Sears 6c that looks like a 64a converted to a 64b

Talked to bob harvich today. He is sending out one of his parts catalogues and a wire ejector to try out.

Hard to see on the world's worst display(mine), but I can't see any marks where pin would hit. There is a longer part of the barrel inside the receiver that extends over the chamber. They can develop a good notch there from fp strikes.
If your 64 doesn't cycle well there's a couple of easy things to try. Make certain you're using a round nosed ammo. I have luck with Federal Champions, any CCI (except CB's). Also be certain your gun is clean. It doesn't take too much gunk to make a 64 hinky. Once innards are clean, try running the rifle dry. I hated my 64 for the first couple of years, and an 'ol timer set me straight... keep it clean, and run it dry. Lube your action only for storage/rust prevention. Every few years I'll experiment with different lubrication (dry, silicone etc) and regret it when the rifle starts to hiccup. Seems counter-intuitive to have metal workings operate dry, but give it a try. Once clean, keep it clean! Get used to a thorough cleaning every 500-1000 rds. You can extend this regimen a bit by flushing the action with brake cleaner while cycling by hand.
