The remmy will not be used on the Cooey 64s. The conversion kit is "key-hole" shaped. Not square. I have 6 of the Cooey 64s and 2 had to be converted from original 64s to a 64a, the plastic "mag" is obsolete and a conversion kit is really a mag well and metal mag . It screws into place where the "clip" holding the plastic "mag" is located. You can get the parts directly from Savage arms for a fraction of some of the distributors. Mine cost me $7.00 for the well and $10 for the "mag".
just out of curiosity....I went thru the SIR catalogue and low and behold...almost every page has a different wording for the extra shell holding device...some are as follows...10 shot clip...10 shot magazine and last but not least 10 shot clip magazine. Guess noone is totally correct about such insignificant point. the gun companies should know what these devises are called, but even they cannot get it together. As long as we know what the article being discussed is...why stress the point?
