Hi all,

I have an old semi-action Model 64 I inherited from my grandfather. It is a 22LR. When I got it, it didn't have a magazine. I bought my first magazine at Gagnon's and it does not fit. I purchased a second one at Ellwood Epps today and it also does not fit. It looks very similar to the first one, which I told them at Epps and they reassured me that it would fit. Is there a reason why I am having these problems? All the rifle says is Model 64 on it.

Thanks,

Mel

I have a cooey 64 A...auto....does yours have a mag hole that looks like a old keyhole ? I googled the model and apparently they are not made anymore but you can get a conversion kit for them...might be worth a try.

If you have one of the COOEY 64 with a magazine that slides up a plate at the back of the mag well you need a no longer available plastic magazine. A replacement mag well that allows you to use the metal Cooey, 64 B and the Lakefield and Savage 64 mags is sometimes available.. Goto www.armco-guns.com goto his "USED GUNS FOR SALE" ,at the bottom of the list he has some parts, there he has listed a mag well and metal mag. GOOD LUCK.
