Can anyone tell me if there is a company that makes a stock for this old rifle?

It is a Winchester, winchetser LA stocks will fit with some minor modifications.
Do you have a stock now?

I knew Winchester owned or lic'd cooey, but didn't know wheather the model #'s were the same for both companies. I do have a stock, but for sentimental reasons(this was my dads gun) I would like to leave it original. What I really was hoping for, was to get a synthetic stock and put a Harris bipod on it. I also am going to put a elite 3200 on mine, 10x40 mil dot with target turrets.

There are some minor differences between the two, the Winchester receiver is flat on the bottom and the cooey is rounded (like a remmy) and few other little odds and ends. try finding a used Win M70 synthetic long action stock.

I would have it bedded to take up an extra space as well you may need to dremel it a bit where it doesn't fit.. If you do a search i asked a similar question and got a few answers, I decided just to paint the stock I had.

I would LOVE to find a Cooey 71 in .243!!!
