Cooey model 75 info

Just looking to see when these were started to be made, how many made ect.

I picked one up today that looks like the barrel is brand new on the inside as the rifleing was clean and sharp. Pulling a 22 cal bore snake though felt like pulling a .270 or 30 cal one though it was so tight.

The model "75" was made between 1939 and 1966. Does yours have bladed or philips screws?

Yes, Aaron is correct. The model 75 was first introduced as the Mowhawk model 75 in 1937. In 39 the Mowhawk was dropped and it became just the model 75 and was made until 1966. It became the model 750 in 1967 under the Winchester rule and was a totally differently designed gun. There were many of them made, with many of them just having the store brand name such as Ranger or Sure Shot etc. Now the model 78 is not as plentiful. It was basically the same gun except for the rear of the receiver was machined for a peep sight.
