Through another post here I have looking at this website, which has cost me a pot of coffee and most of the morning.
Perhaps this has already been posted but i dint come across it in a cursory search of this forum
This post on postwar military advertising is interesting - and if you scroll halfway down you will find a 1947 advertisement for Cooey 82's and bit further down a write up on Winfield Arms and their role in selling surplus firearms to the civilian market. What is really neat is that I have a bunch of my fathers old firearms magazines from the 50's and these advertisements are in them.
Enjoy!
