Nice and shiny could still have some dried oil in it and slow down or prevent extraction and/or ejection. Clean the chamber with some 0000 steel wool wrapped around a 12 gauge brush and soaked in Hoppes. Chuck your cleaning rod stub in a drill.Was nice and shiny, which is why I misguidedly wasted all kinds of time fiddling with the ejector...
