I just picked up an old Cooey model 37 in 410 but I don't see a chamber length marked on the barrel. By the serial number (52###) I believe this may be an earlier model and I don't know if they ever were made with a 2 1/2 inch chamber or if they all had 3 inch chambers.

The only Cooey .410 's with 2 1/2" chamber where the bolt action Canucks . The break actions where all 3" .

They should all be 3". But I'm curious, what model do you have? Your heading says model 84, but your post says model 37. Cooey never made a model 37. There was a Cooey model 370 which was made by Winchester after the take over. Winchester made an older model 37.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Gunsaholic I was typing without thinking and got my 84 mixed up with 37. It is in fact an old H.W. Cooey Machine and Arms Ltd. model 84. From what I understand they started building them in 1948 and then switched over to 840 (similiar to a Winchester 37 to 370) in around 1964 ??? I've also read that they didn't continue serial numbers on them for their whole run. Mine is 52### but I'm not sure what year of production that would be ?
