I was wondering if anyone had any info on a cooey model 84, break barrel 12gauge shot gun, i recently bought one and was wondering how to take it apart as much as possible for a good cleaning
The buttstock comes off easy enough as well just remove the pad and get in there with a large screwdriver.
Further dissasembly is un necessary for a working gun.
Solvents, oil and compressed air are your friends.
i was wondering more about the trigger and the guts of the gun, im by no means a gun smith but i like knowing where each pin and springs goes, just incase it goes flying everywhere when i take er apart
You don't need to touch that part for cleaning. If everything works OK, leave it alone except to spray in some G-96 or similar cleaner/lube combo, drip or blow dry. You'll do more damage than good if you take it apart.
A wood tube? or wood plug?
That is strange, and about taking apart guns that are not
broken- Don't do it,
In last few years I seem to see more guns in boxes to be put
back together .
