Same gun as a Winchester M840 and the12's and20's used the same butt stock. Try Western Gun Parts first, but Gunparts, Stateside, wants $91.40US(Plus their $35US cross border handling fee. And HST/GST) for a complete used slightly banged up stock. A Cooey 84/840 isn't worth much so it may not be worthwhile.
Thanks for the tips. I know its not worth much but I inherited it free. Its worthless with a broken stock and I can't even use it for hunting.
I live on the border and often go down to gas up so no issue shipping within US and picking up at the border. CBSA rarely send me in if my purchases are less than $100.
I am being told the gun is the same design as model 370 and I can get a 370 stock stateside for 80 USD. Just wondering what canadian prices are like.
Time to haunt the gun shows. I see butt stocks for this model Cooey for around $35, needing refinishing but sound. That's all that I think they are worth.

IIRC the 840 stocks were hardwood and came in different finishes and different variations of impressed checkering. I may have a decent buttstock, but sadly they are worth more than the $35 quoted.
Just a quick update. I did strip and refinish but was unhappy with the color (no stain) so I am in the process of refinishing. Am currently staining. Still not happy with the color but its definitely better than it was. Still looking for Gevarm E1 fore and buttstock....I would even consider buying the whole gun, working or not.
