Read a couple posts that suggest mounting a scope to a Cooey 75 / 760 is complex. Is it not possible to tap a Weaver top mount directly onto the receiver?

What about JB weld? .22 not that much recoil.

Anyone have some direct experience with this? Pics?

Cheers.

the two parallel grooves on top of the action are great too, all .22s seem to have that now from the factory. there are all kinds of scope mounts that fit these groves.

My Cooey 75 has a top mount that is tapped to the front part of the receiver. The holes drilled do not go deep enough to bother the firing chamber.

I used JB WELD to put on a weaver dovetail on a Cooey and then cut the part out in the middle of the receiver . So I end up with a two piece mount and I used high scope rings ,so I still have to put my fat little fingers in the action.
