Cooey scoping question

Okay , so I purchased my Cooey 60 and it is everything I had expected and in beautiful condition ( thanks Stefan ! )
Although it is a wonderful little shooter , I would like to scope it . Problem is , I'm a lefty .:cool:
Of course it's drilled on the right as it should be but that won't work for left hand shooting .
Any lefties scoped one of these ? If so , with what scope , and where ?
Thanks all , any guidance would be helpful as I would like to shoot 50+ and can't see that far without a scope ( damn you aging eyes ) !

its all in the mount. the scope should be centre barrel so either left or right hand should not matter, just reloading may seem awkward. I shoot my scoped bolts either right or left depending on where i am seated. just a learning process and not difficult to get used to.
 
Thanks guys , just wondering if , with the Cooeys the scope might end up too far from my eye as , to mount it center it will be quite forward . They usually mount to the left , because to put them in center will put used casing whapping into the scope and back into the action ( from what I've heard ) . Just wondering if anyone's mounted anything more forward than a scope , like a red dot or ....who knows what .
Just getting educated in it , you know ?

I am trying to comprehend what you are stuck on????
I own a Cooey Model 60 and a Winchester Model 69A and
both use the same two piece mounts.
Both are screwed to the left side of the receiver using four holes
Ironic as it is, with the one inch tube scopes on both rifles, both
are over centered off to the right slightly.
There are two scope ring mounts, a short and a long.
What I gather is you are trying to get the correct eye relief?
Sometimes the scope you are using just won't work properly.
Tubes too long or too short.
Post some photos and note where you are running into problems.

Oohhh , you've answered my question . Forgive the blond moment on my part . I was incorrect in assuming that , since the holes are on the left , the scope would also sit to the left . I haven't seen those rings yet as I have to get to Edmonton to look at them . Now I understand the scope will end up center barrel . Thanks very much ! The world of scopes is new and confusing to me . I managed to buy and mount one thus far ( on my 10/22 ) and it turned out great , more out of luck then any skill on my part I'm sure .
I'll ask you one more question . What scope do you have on your model 60 ? Your guidance is very appreciated !

The scope is an old Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 I think it's a 40??
I should of ordered the long top ring mount for this particular scope as
eye relief is slightly excessive.
You know how that 22 rimfire recoil is.
So I protect meself with using the leadsled........ :p

Here you can see the scope is not directly above the barrel.
My Winchester 69A is the same.....

I can see that scope actually does sit to the right , very interesting !
I have got to figure out photobucket so I can put great pics up like you have .
I like the older scopes on these guns , they look right .
I have the old Weaver k4 on my 10/22 and it might be better on this Cooey . I was shooting someone else's marlin ( model 60 ? I think ) and he just had one of those cheapo Simmons $80 ones . It worked pretty well for the price . I think one of those might go on the 10/22 and that old Weaver can be for my Cooey .
I really love this old Cooey . So inexpensive yet a great little gun . I am going to get a 64 in future too , and always keep an eye out for any trainers as they are just so cool .
Love the old Winchester .22s as well .

The wood on that Cooey is very nice . The butt has that great grain !
I've thought of stripping mine to see what the woods like under the original finish .
