Not an easy answer. There may be a difference depending on when each of the models were made. The big difference is in the mag tube(inner and outer). This then changes where the shell slot is in relation to the end of the stock. Easier to stay with whatever model you have------Cowboy

I have done it but like Cowboy states the mag tube length differs and you may want to change the other model mag tube at the same time the stock is changed. The other option is to shorten the stock so the loading port is usable, not sure how much sentimental value we are talking about here..
