Cooey to Savage

This one from Shooter's Choice

Cooey with Th_Ft stock

Finally this Cooey is ready for action, the receiver is from the last cooey that
I got at Ancaster show, which is one of nicest Cooey ever because it never
been open and it wasn't shot much, the action and the barrel is from one of
my oldest Cooey, the custom bolt handle is from the Cooey that I got from
Shooter's Choice. Floating barrel and very tight bedding on the receiver,
and 13 coats of Tung Oil.

The most expensive part is probably the scope ... lol ...
REX 6-25x56 side focus.

You guys have shooting benches set up in gopher fields? How awesome is that? The only thing I get to shoot off benches is paper/steel.

just picked up a cooey 64 that was in a house fire but is mostly smoke damage and rust.... nothing a wire wheel and sand paper wont clean up.... maybe

anyway.... looking thru sniper's pic's i noticed that my 64 dident come with this part rather just a steel L bracket??? is this normal or??

The "L" bracket is for a different style of magazine. The 64 series had numerous magazine configurations. I can't remember which manufacturer or series they where indicative too.

I know of three...

That plastic mag (poopy),
The cast metal mag (as pictured above & most commonly available)
and one made of stamped metal for the "L" bracket you asked about.

Each had there own unique magazine assembly. The footprint of the holes on the receiver housing are standardized though, so you can upgrade the magazine / assembly if you so choose.

Hope this helps.

that help's alot actually.....
i picked up a new mag today at wholesale so i guess i need to find a magazine housing assembly for the new style mag's!

i refinished the stock last nite and got the barrell and action down to bare metal and polished every moving part and lubed it up.... i guess i should post a few pic's of my new gopher plinker tommorow... i hope it still shoot's straight cuz she sure look's purdy.
