So I recently picked up a winchester cooey 39 in very good condition. However, I noticed upon closer inspection that the cheap plastic trigger guard was cracked and broke apart as I tried to take it off. Anyways, just wondering if these are universal among similar cooey models or if I need to be picking one up specifically for the 39? I'm open to all options, not doing a restoration just making it look pretty to give to my 9 year old daughter for christmas as her first gun.

If anyone else knows of a trigger guard that fits the stock shape well feel free to let me know, like I said, not restricted to original restoration but I do prefer metal over plastic.

Not having much luck finding a replacement piece, any suggestions on another one that is easily modified that I can fix in place? At this point any suggestion is appreciated.

I used a 3/4" 2-hole EMT conduit strap, made of metal and a little shaping and trimming better than the real piece of crap plastic original
