Cooey Model 710. Not Remington 710. Do any of you know anything about these rifles that look identical to a model 70 Win? I know they were made in Cobourg. Buddys got one in 30-06 he wants to get rid of. Its in really nice shape, whats it worth ? And any history or experience would be helpful. Thanks;)

wichester bought cooey in the late sixties so a model 710 would be a cousin to a model 70 not sure what its worth without pics.Off the top of my head I would say 500 bucks.

The 710 is a Model 70 that was made in Canada. For some daft reason Winchester thought it should have a different model number. $500 wouldn't be unreasonable. Epp's recently sold a Cooey 71, same thing, in .225 for around that.

Pretty cheap gun at the time ... about half the cost of a model 70.
I had one in 270 that was a bonafide M.O.A. shooter. But you can
reasonably expect to get that today from any number of inexpensive
bolt rifles, particularly Stevens, Savage, Remington & Tikka.

Don't think I'd go much over $ 250 for one in good condition in a
standard caliber.
