There is a lot of buzz from Tenda on the new Cool Fire Dry Fire Training system. It got me thinking.
If you build a range dedicated to Cool Fire, is it still considered a Firearms range under the auspices of CFO? or should it be more of a business operating a laser tag entertainment establishment?
Real firearm, minimal noise, and no bullets. That might be a good way to introduce the Action Shooting Sport to a broader range of people and teach the general public some basic fact about firearms and firearm safety.
The basic concept is to have set up a series course of fire for people to try. Something along the lines of a fun house. People line up to pay admission. They get to pick from a few standard firearm with the Cool Fire installed. They go through each of the course of fire and shoot the targets. After the last course of fire they turn in the firearm and get their score.
There could be a section for member where there are course of fire set up and some rooms where members can set up their own custom course of fire. Members can bring their own firearms so long as it is set up with the Cool Fire system and they don't bring any ammo.
I have not tried the Cool Fire. So I have no opinion on how well it works. So I am just throwing it out there to see what the community thinks about it.
Would you pay to be a member?
If I won the lotto tomorrow, this might be something I can pursue. Otherwise feel free to steal it and build a better tomorrow.
