Has anyone tried the Cool Fire Training system? If it performs like in some YouTube videos, this is the idea at-home dry-fire training tool.

Looking for some feedback from the community.

We got 3 of them, 1 for me, the gf and a buddy up the road. We all love em. Buddy has the projected range thing too, so the laser from the CF works with that system. For me the laser is useless, I watch my sights not wanting to see a flash. We also all got the rapid fill adapter (not the cylindrical one the one that is kinda rectangular) it pretty much doubles your number of shots per fill. But you need a holster that will work with that attached to the muzzle.
I'd say 80% or more recoil, which is great for sight tracking, transitions etc. But the biggest benefit is that you get to work with your actual gun, double and single action triggers if you've got that, or constant action/striker triggers resetting as the slide moves fully. Something none of the laser trainers do. They are pricey, but you can now order them without the laser module, so that drops the price a lot. We've had ours for a couple years now. And shoot the living crap out of them.
If you have a Shadow 2 and order one, get the one for the Shadow 2 Orange, just in case you one day order an Orange or install a different barrel bushing. I can't run mine in my Orange as it's for a regular 2 and is just a tad too short for the Orange.

Finally got my CoolFire Trainer. I ordered in early April - it took 2.5 months to arrive. They are *very* busy filling orders, so be advised.

I ordered mine with a 20 Oz CO2 tank. Cost to fill = $6. I’ll have to see how many shots I’ll get out of it.

Recoil impulse is quite good - much more “oomph” than I thought it would have. You get about 8-10 shots at approximately “full” recoil - and declining after that.

Overall impression after 100 “rounds” - excellent training device. Makes dry fire much more fun and “realistic”.

I got my kit with the laser adapter. As Slavex suggested in a earlier post, this isn’t something that I’ll use all the time. Mostly I’ll be using the trainer to track the sights (red dot on my 320 X5 Legion) through the recoil cycle.

Thanks for the update and the honest feedback. I am seriously interested in this unit.
